Crowns are a good alternative to porcelain veneers for teeth that have more damage. Like veneers, crowns are made from a mold of your natural teeth, meaning that they’re designed to fit you perfectly. Most crowns are made of porcelain, which gives it a similar look and feel to natural teeth. For teeth that are less visible or in higher bite pressure areas, gold crowns are the sturdier choice. Regardless of the material you choose, crowns are incredibly durable, and they can last for up to 15 years with a good oral health routine. Best of all, they’re convenient – in most cases, we can design, mill, and place your crown in just one day!
Bonding is the right choice for smaller changes, temporary corrections, and teeth in low bite pressure areas. It’s relatively inexpensive when compared to crowns and bridges. Bonding involves the use of a tooth-colored resin, which we apply to your teeth and harden with a special light. It’s a great solution for dental restoration that’s more cosmetic in nature, like discoloration, wide gaps between teeth, or teeth that aren’t as long as you’d like. We can complete most bonding in a single office visit, and it doesn’t usually require anesthesia.
Bridges are a good choice for missing teeth. When you’re missing one or more of your teeth, it does a whole lot more than dull your smile – it can make eating difficult, it could alter the way you speak, and over time, it may cause structural changes to your mouth or jaw. By using your existing teeth to create a bridge that crosses the area where your tooth is missing, we’re able to create replacement that will restore your healthy smile. In general, bridges take a few visits to complete and may require anesthesia. While your bridge is being made especially for you, we’ll fit you with a temporary bridge that will keep your mouth safe and healthy in the meantime. Your bridge will be made of porcelain, gold, or a metal alloy, and with the right at-home care, it is a permanent solution.

When you come in for your appointment, you’ll have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you like, and we’ll work with you to decide which restoration method is right for you.
